Make the Best of Your Stay in Singapore

Singapore is an amazing place. Similar to Hong Kong in many respects but different still. If you don’t have many days to stay, here’s advice on how to make the most of your stay.

It is advisable arrive late in the afternoon, as hotel check-in normally after 2pm. From Changi Airport you can choose between a taxi that costs a bit high but comfortable and the train which is extremely cheap but not convenient for luggage. In any case, you will reach central area within 30 minutes.

As accomodation is concerned, I’d say the Concorde Hotel (five star hotel with a good location), the Four Season (awesome) and the Holiday Inn on Cavennagh Road(convenient location). And there are two places are highly recommended: The Resort World Sentosa and the Fullerton. With only 1 night stay, it should not matter much to splurge a little. For more hotel information, you can check on Luxury Hotel Page. During promotion, they have really good deals.

After settling down, you can walk around. Sentosa and Clark Quay are two perfect places for a night out. While Sentosa is more for shows and entertainment, Clark Quay is more for food and pubs.

When it comes to food, seafood is definitely the choice. And Singapore’s Chilicrab is uppermost!  Deserts in Singapore are also nice, though not as authentic as in Hong Kong, they have developed their own flavor.

Getting your stomach filled, you can just sit on the beach of Sentosa and enjoy the soft breeze. If you stay in a downtown hotel, you may like to grab a cup of drink in a bar along the Clark Quay river.

The second day, get up early from your cozy bed to catch up the first ray of sunshine. Singapore is serene and beautiful in early morning. And it’s interesting to go any of the MRT station and watch  people rushing through, like a river floating along and telling different stories. Afterwards, try the local breakfast and get yourself ready for a busy day ahead.

The newly-opened Casino could be a choice but for a majority people shopping is a must-must in Singapore! Just walking through malls along Orchard will take a remarkable portion of your time. If you happen to be here during the Great Singapore Sale…pray your pocket is deep enough.

Besides shopping, parks, zoos and gardens are good place to go.

Though it’s just a small island of 274.2 sq mi, Singapore shall never bore you. Be aware of the time. While you enjoy your time, do not miss the flight.

Tips: Leave some time for packing and transfer to airport.
