Best Time to Go Phuket Island
WeatherPhuket has a fairly typical tropical climate. Two seasons really, a dry season from November to April and a rainy season from May to October.
Actually, the climate is quite average throughout the year. Average high range from 29°C to 33°C; average lows range from 23°C to 26°C.
In fact, the rain will rarely change your daily plans but cool the weather down a bit. Besides, the thundershower only lasts about 20 to 60 minutes, more often, it happens in the middle of the night. BUT, the island does get the occasional 2-3 days storm, which might disturbe your vacation.

Best Time to Go
Actually, there is no such thing as the best time to go. It concerns too much about personal opinion. Some consider weather as a biggest issue while some take peak/low season more into consideration.
Summer and rainny season is comparatively low season with less tourists and the trafic is easier. Moreover, the hotel and resort rates drop off 1/3 to 1/2. However, it is not always safe to swim as the sea reacts closely to the weather. Children, especially, have to seek protected waters on the bay side of the island.
October to April is high season as people escape their harsh winter and throng to nicer climates. Some suggest November to February as the high high season when the island is at its best climates and busiest.
Winter is also the time of year when the sea is much calmer and clearer and thus perhaps better for scuba diving, snorkeling and swimming in the sea.
Indeed, there is no bad time in phuket and you are unlikely to be disappointed.
