Glorietta Glorietta Greenbelt sm_mall_of_asia ciendesitas Picture choosen by: Ms.Gayle Shopping in Makati Ayala Center, along EDSA and Ayala Avenue is the most known commercial center in the city. Developed by the Ayala Corporation, it contains two shopping malls, Glorietta and Greenbelt, five hotels, and an office building.

Glorietta the larger of the two shopping malls, which itself is a cluster of malls. It used to be Quad in the 1970's and early 90's until it had a major facelift which was remodeled and reconfigured by the Ayala Corporation. It is a more affordable place than high end greenbelt nearby and is the main showcase of the Ayala Center, A prime 1 square mile block of prime retail space and malls that encompasses a prime area in Makati. It is still a work in progress since a wing (Glorietta 2) was destroyed by a bomb blast in 2007 and is currently being rebuilt.
It has everything you want, food courts, Shoe shops, furniture shops, Restaurants, Coffee Shops, Cinemas, Department Stores and a lot More!

Across Makati Avenue from Glorietta is Greenbelt. This is one of the most sophisticated, modern, and expensive malls in the country. Greenbelt features dozens of coffee stores and restaurants, all overlooking a well-landscaped green park at the center where a domed Catholic chapel dominates the skyline. Other hotels in the vicinity of Ayala Center are the Makati Shangri-la Hotel, the Manila Peninsula, the Dusit Hotel Nikko, Manila Garden, the Hotel Intercontinental Manila, and Renaissance Makati City Hotel. Soon to rise is the Raffles Residences Manila, now under construction at the corner of Makati Avenue and Arnaiz Avenue (formerly Pasay Road).
Along the periphery of Glorietta are three department stores: SM Department Store Makati, Rustan's, and the Landmark.

SM shopping malls
It can be found all over the Philippines. First starting in 1985 in SM City North Edsa, SM malls have expanded aggressively and has built The Mall of Asia, which is west of Roxas Boulevard in Pasay City. This supermall first opened its doors on May 21, 2006. It is constructed on approximately 19.5 hectares of reclaimed land, covering a floor area of 386,224 square meters. It is so enormous that it would take more than a day or two to cover the entire mall. The outdoor area/patio/ground floor contains restaurants and other eateries. The next floor up has pure shopping, and even an ice skating rink!

The Most Copied Brand in the World was Founded by Malletier Louis Vuitton in 1854, never would he realize that it would become a status symbol and a most copied brand in the world! Louis Vuitton Store started its prescence in 1993, first at the exclusive Ayala-owned 6750 Ayala Avenue street-level development Makati City. Vuitton occupied one corner and Bulgari the other. In 2004, both brands moved to Greenbelt 4. Goods here in Makati is more expensive than other part of asia and even in the United States!

plant Mall is a former Coal Powered Powerplant and was renovated to become a plush Complex within Makati City. Conveniently tucked away in the verdant "city within a city" that is the Rockwell Center, Power Plant Mall provides a unique and leisurely experience for the discerning shopper.Its four-level complex incorporates a mix of specialty brands, both international and local,The mall also offers a new concept store, Rustan's Fresh,which promises to reinvent supermarket shopping. Lately, it has become a popular hang out place of the South Korean Community since there is a growing korean prescence in the philippines due to it's english language proficiency wherein koreans go and study english here and spend long vacations. A Korean Town is nearby this mall in Barangay Poblacion, Makati.

The Bars here are popular night spots! And not as congested as greenbelt, park square or Jupiter street bars.
