“Kelikewa " is a large underground cellar it is from Moldova's capital Chisinau and is only ten kilometers away. If drove to there, along the way is the greeted endless hills, rows of lush vines. The wine here is all the local farmers' homegrown wine and brandy, they are very cheap, but genuine, and the raw materials are all local grapes.

"Kelikewa" was built in 1953. At that time, due to the country needs a large number of stone-building, people took the stone from mountain, after that a number of empty abandoned underground tunnels were formed. Wine specialists had discovered that the rock in tunnel with properties which could absorb moisture, the temperature in the tunnel is keeping between 12 to 16 degrees Celsius around year and the humidity maintained at above 80%, this is the suitable environment for brewing wine and store the high-quality wine. Then the local use these tunnels to built underground wine city.
The total area of Wine cellar is 64 square kilometers (total length of 120 kilometers), with an average depth of 50 ~ 80 meters, to accommodate the two wine factories which are producing nearly 10 kinds of wine and four kinds of champagne wine and there is a wine museum.
In Kelikewa Wine Museum, there are collect 1.5 million bottles includes 648 kinds of wines and all of them are stored more than half a century. All of these wines are classified by age. The oldest age is a bottle of brandy produced in Jerusalem in 1902. And the Czech Republic in the same year produced a bottle of wine fitness.
This Underground wine city also has several different styles of wine hall, the VIP rooms, restaurant, kitchen and a room for guests staying a series of life, services, entertainment and ancillary facilities. Over the years, many foreign heads of state, politicians, dignitaries and celebrities left their footprints in here.
