It is almost ranked as the second most poluar city to vist in Malaysia. The experinces visiting Malacca is unique; its rich historical background earned it a World Heritage Site designation in July 2008.

Due to it's small city size, so traveling on foot could be the best idea. You can also rent a bike. Don't be ignorant and stand in the middle of the road holding up traffic in order to take pictures of buildings, for heaven's sake. (This happens!). Driving sense is usually good and traffic laws are adhered to.

Taxis are not go by meters, however chartered taxis on Jalan Kee Ann travel within the city and should not cost more than RM10 per ride.

Trishaws, complete with blaring pop music and fake flowers are available as well for short trips between tourist spots or circular tours. The drivers are very cheerful and friendly. The going rate is RM 40 per hour, but settles any price in advance
