Picture choosen by: Mr.Nicholas Lee Overview Iceland is Europe\'s most western countries. It is located in the central North Atlantic near and the Arctic Circle. Glaciers accounted for 8000 square kilometers and it is the second largest island in Europe. The Coastline is about 4970 kilometers. Throughout the 3 / 4 is the elevation of 400-800 m plateau, of which 1 / 8 is covered by glaciers. There are more than 100 volcanoes and more than 30 active volcanoes among these volcanoes.
