Getting to Hungary
The main airport in Hungary is Budapest Ferihegy (GUD) (website: www.bud.hu)is 16km (10 miles) from the city. There arenon-stop flights from New York to Budapest four days per week. It's also easy to fly to Budapest directly from most of the major European cities. London and Frankfurt are usually the best bets because they frequently are the least expensive ports of entry into Europe when flying from the U.S. From London to Budapest is 2 hours 30 minutes; from New York is 8 hours 40 minutes.
