Nightlife&Entertainment in France
There are many lively night clubs in main cities such as Paris, Lyon or Marseille. The drinks are likely to be more expensive. However, most of the entrances are free of charge. Nightclubs can also be found in rural areas even the remotest corners of France. There is no fixed style and music varies widely from one to another. The closing time is 5:00 a.m. Late-night bars and cafes can also be an alternative in the nightlife entertainments. In Paris and the regions, theatres offer a wide variety of shows from great classics to light comedy, from one-man shows to cabaret.
You can get an annual and monthly diary of events which is free and available in most of tourist offices. Guides for events and entertainment in Paris in Paris (Pariscope, L'official des Spectacles and Zurban) are sold at newspaper kiosks. They list all cinema programmes, museums, exhibitions and all other types of shows.
Most of French treat their dinner as a big leisure. So they are likely to spend the night on a long-time dining and drinking.
