Leshan

which is a rather set back, slow-paced and clean city located in its central part. Just 1 hour highway coach from capital city-Chengdu, you will be embraced with this tourist city. Sitting on the confluence of the Dadu, Mín and Qingyi rivers, it is most famous for its huge riverside cliff-carving of Grand Buddha and nearby Mount Emei which together are a World Heritage Site.You will discover the oriental culture from tens of famous temples here. There is a daily Minchah *(The Hebrew word Minchah stems from the word menuchah - rest, signifying when the sun is beginning to rest.) in each temple.
When my boyfriend and I went to Wuyou Temple located in a lush mountain, we found carriage horses, singing birds, old monks, and nice architecture. It was drizzling at that time. In that quiet and peaceful winter day, it was just lovely to stand outside of the old temple, seeing the monks carrying candles, faithfully murmuring the old song. It seems like the whole mountain was listening to that divine event.
You will also find the ancient city walls along the river side. Overall speaking, Leshan is a modern city with well-built roads, convenient shopping malls, western cafes, the biggest squares in south-west China. On the other hand, you can just track back the traditional, ancient civil cultural easily with its remained temples and structures.
