World Travel Guide Europe Andorra General Information Picture choosen by: Mrs.elegant Wang Andorra Overview Andorra, officially the Principality of Andorra, also called the Principality of the Valleys of Andorra, is a small country in southwestern Europe. With 468 square kilometers land and a population of 69,150 people, Andorra becomes the sixth smallest nation in Europe.

Their official language is Catalan, while Spanish, French, and Portuguese are also widely spoken. Though it's not a member of European Union, but the euro is the main currency. The people of Andorra have a high human life expectancy – 82 years at birth.

The Capital
Andorra la Vella is the capital of the Co-principality of Andorra, and is located high in the east Pyrenees between France and Spain. It is also is the highest capital city in Europe, with an elevation of 1023 meters.

Its principal industry is tourism, although the country also earns foreign income from being a tax-haven. Furniture and brandies are local products.
