It is located right next to central station which was very easy to take a train to/from the airport & take local buses/trams in and around Oslo. It was also right near the main street St Johans Gate and easy to walk into the heart of town. You will not get a fancy room with a flat screen TV, a fitness center or swimming pool, neither the small toiletries in your bathroom (The soap is on a dispenser) and even if the size of the room is fair ¨C it's far from big. The beds were comfy, the view was not much, rooms come on as clean, check in was always efficient and prompt and the staff in the Byporten are friendly and capable even by Scandic's high standards. Staying frequently certainly helps, but I always feel welcomed.
