The hotel is about 5 minutes walking from the closest subway station (Nakashima Koen station) but that station does not have escalators so if you plan to take a lot of luggage, don't take the subway. It's a good base for exploring Sapporo since Nakashima Koen station is only 1 station away from Odoru. There were at least two convenience stores near the hotel so if you wanted some cheap food, snacks or drinks you could get them there. The hotel itself was nice, clean and safe. The room was very comfortable, clean and roomy. They had all sorts of channels on the room TV, including English and Chinese channels. The staff was polite and friendly if you could speak Japanese (and I could speak some) but they spoke almost no English and as a result the service was not terribly welcoming for foreigners.
