The hotel was a typical former East German concrete edifice with two wings and not the easiest on the eye. The location isn't too bad, it's right in East Berlin, so it's got a kind of Eastern Bloc feeling to it, which I liked. Locally there is a cheap Market for food (near the post office/Renault car place) which will work out much cheaper than eating at the hotel. Staff at the reception was nice, but not friendly, just handed over my room key, no information about hotel, service, and so on. Nice hospitality, but no wifi access in the room. Other Staffs were pleasant enough and spoke fluent English. The rooms were large and reasonably up to date with flat screen TV and adequate air conditioning.
