I didn't expect much but chose the hotel anyway based on location. A pleasant surprise. A perfectly pleasant and well-lit room with a nice, complimentary coffee/tea set up (Cathay Gardens Building), a workout facility that offered everything I required, an inviting lobby and a terrific location. Good: The best thing about this hotel is that it's in the heart of the french concession district and yet away from the noise, shopping and general new money flamboyance.
